Established in 1993 as the charitable arm of The Hong Kong Jockey Club, the Trust is one of the world's largest charity donors, approving HK$8.6 billion in donations in FY2025/26 and HK$9 billion in 2024/25. Roughly 90% of the Club's annual operating surplus after tax flows into the Trust, which funds projects across youth, education, health, arts, sports, poverty alleviation and the environment. Working with the government and NGOs, it also proactively launches its own Trust-initiated programs and is the single largest source of charitable funding in Hong Kong.
