Launched in June 2020 as HKEX's dedicated charitable arm and a Section 88 charitable entity, the Foundation funds community projects across financial literacy, diversity and inclusion, poverty relief and environmental sustainability. It runs the HKEX Charity Partnership Programme (managed with The Community Chest) and the Impact Funding Scheme — an open call offering HK$500,000–1,000,000 per project to local charities and social enterprises, administered via HKCSS. The Foundation raised HK$138 million for charity in 2021.
