The Beat Drugs Fund was established in 1996 to support community projects that combat drug problems in Hong Kong. Administered by the Beat Drugs Fund Association on the advice of the Action Committee Against Narcotics, with secretariat support from the Narcotics Division of the Security Bureau, its Regular Funding Scheme funds projects in treatment and rehabilitation, preventive education and publicity, and drug research. Annual funding exercises invite applications from community organisations each year.

Who can apply
Organisations and individuals may apply, provided the projects are of a non-profit-making nature; individual applicants must show they have obtained support from their affiliated organisation.
Application process
Complete the application form and submit one printed copy with appendices and a detailed budget breakdown plus a USB soft copy by hand to the BDFA Secretariat (30/F, High Block, Queensway Government Offices, 66 Queensway, Hong Kong) before the exercise deadline; briefing and experience-sharing sessions are organised for applicants.

2025 funding exercise closed 23 September 2025; the exercise runs annually and is launched in July/August each year — check the Narcotics Division website for the next call.
